Mary Talbert

Mary Talbert was a civil rights leader who focused on political strategies to unify Black women. She was the first Black woman assistant principal of Little Rock High School. She helped to organize the Niagara Movement, which led way to the NAACP. She served as president of National Association of Colored Women. 8 branches of NACW have been named in her honor.
