The 2025 Black Reproductive Justice Policy Agenda offers the solutions that the United States needs.
Over 50 Black-led organizations and activists have collaborated to create this comprehensive roadmap to protect and uplift Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people.
Our last RJ Policy agenda was published in 2023, during a time when the country was on a path toward enshrining lasting change. Only two years later, we’re witnessing a coordinated attack on the very civil and human rights that are the foundation of our freedoms.
True Reproductive Justice is expansive, intersectional, and transformative. It dismantles the barriers that prevent Black women, girls and gender-expansive people from living fully self-determined lives. It means fighting not only for access to quality and comprehensive reproductive health care but also for economic, social, and political power and the right to parent, or not to parent, on our own terms.
Our 2025 Black Reproductive Justice Policy Agenda is more than just a policy roadmap. It’s a resource for allies to read, learn from, and follow. It’s also backed by data and grounded in lived experience and unshakeable truth—something increasingly important in this age of misinformation and disinformation.
In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda, Interfaith Voices for Reproductive Justice, and SisterLove, Inc. present the 2025 Black Reproductive Justice Policy Agenda, an innovative, proactive policy agenda created in collaboration with more than 50 Black women’s organizations and Reproductive Justice activists. Over 100 pages, we offer over 125 specific recommendations for policymakers across health equity, care, and access, as well as social justice, safety, and equity. The 2025 Policy Agenda not only dispels any notion that race, class and gender don’t shape life outcomes, but also reaffirms that racial inequity and injustice are real and demand transformative action.
We have much to lose if we don’t act. But if we move boldly toward the vision outlined in this policy agenda — toward Reproductive Justice — we stand to gain a nation built on dignity, autonomy, and equity for all.
