PHILADELPHIA- The Philadelphia office of New Voices for Reproductive Justice will host a policy briefing on the new In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda report. The report, “Our Bodies, Our lives, Our Voices: The State of Black Women & Reproductive Justice,” exposes how Black women’s rights are often marginalized by political parties and offers an action plan and policy recommendations.

Attendees will learn about key policy issues on the national Black women’s reproductive justice agenda and hear from advocates and elected officials about national and statewide issues that impact the health outcomes of Black women and girls. RSVP is required. Lunch will be provided.

WHAT: Policy briefing on issues that impact the lives of Black women and girls
WHEN: Friday, October 27, 2017, 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
WHERE: The Friends Center, MLK Room, 1501 Cherry Street Philadelphia, PA 19102

The report combines comprehensive data with the firsthand accounts of the lived experiences of Black women.
